Week 2 - Completed!

Week 2 starting weight: 212.8 (after running)

Week 2 ending weight: 216.2 (WTF!)

Starting waist measurement (8/29/2022): 40.5

Starting chest measurement (8/29/2022): 38.7

Waist measurement (9/12/2022): 39.9

Chest measurement (9/12/2022): 38.4

A big WTF stepping on the scale this morning.  It was lower than my starting weight on 8/29/2022 (217.6) but most of my weigh ins have been a lot less than what I saw this morning.  Not going to put to much thought into it and move on.  I will say that on Friday night I had my wedding anniversary and I did splurge a bit there, but it wasn't super bad.  Ate keto for the most part the rest of the weekend.  Just one of those mornings where things were up.

The measurements being down is nice.  I knew they would be down based on how my shirts were fitting.  My XL shirts are pretty lose and I should probably wear a large shirts but they are still just uncomfortable enough (ie: tight) that I'll stick with my XL shirts until I have lost a bit more.

Running came around this last week and it felt decent.  I did an hour long run on Saturday with a couple of fartleks in there (10 minutes with 3 minutes rest x2) but I also had some carbs on Friday night. So I'm not sure how it would have been if I hadn't eaten a bunch of carbs beforehand.  Mondays are normally a running day for me but I just wasn't feeling it so I didn't run this morning.  I will run tomorrow morning and maybe Wednesday afternoon followed by Friday afternoon and a long run-on Saturday again.  My long runs, I think, are going to include some sort of speed workouts in them and the rest of my runs will be easy.  At least I think that's what I might do.  Right now, I'm not really following any set plan other than to have fun and enjoy myself.  The weather has broken such that I feel like I could run from work like I was doing in the spring. So that's what my Wednesday and Friday will look like...unless it looks like it will be really hot those days.  We'll see. No goal races yet but would like to maintain my critical power for Stryd so I'll throw in some hard work each week!

On the slow thyroid front I can tell you that, to much information incoming, I'm pooping more!  I believe that one of the things with low thyroid is being constipated.  I can't say that I'm taking anymore fiber or not but I think things are definitely moving through better.

Lastly...I've stopped taking my blood pressure medication.  Before anyone loses their mind I am measuring it most mornings to make sure that it is in a safe zone.  I stopped taking it last week because I was getting dizzy in the morning.  When I measured my blood pressure it was really low.  So that might be a good thing.  I'm not sure what my Dr would think but for now he won't know!

This week I also go and seek a skin Dr about a spot I have on my chest.  It's probably nothing but I recently had a friend who had some spots moved and I want to make sure this is nothing!
