Block 2, Week 2 completed!

Another week in the books! I want to try and make this a bit more interesting, not that anyone reads this, but I have yet to figure that out! So once again I'll go day by day...or something like that.

Monday/Friday - These are weightlifting days and this new training is taxing me a bit more than the last one was. So it's a good thing.  I wasn't as sore on the day after, like last week, but they were still a bit taxing. Hopefully I'm getting stronger and it's helping my running.  So far I have not had lower right back issues on the long run like I have had in the past.

Tuesday was the typical easy run.  Like last week I ventured outside. And like last week it was freaking cold!  I felt like I was getting ready to go skiing with the amount of clothes I was putting on.  OMG!

Thursday is workout day.  I did a repeat of last weeks workout but hopefully dialed it in a bit more.  I did one long threshold run for 22 minutes. The goal was to get the heart rate up between 148 and 156.  This was on the lower end but it did reach those areas.  I did 5 minutes at 4.6, 5 minutes at 4.7 and then did 10 minutes at 4.8 (the heart rate was not getting up at 4.7) and then I finished with 4.9.  I love these types of runs/workouts.  I hope that they pay off in the end but I could do these all the time! Next weeks workout will be slightly different with 3x7 minutes with 90 seconds recovery in between!

Saturday was a long run.  Nothing to talk about here. Did 10 minutes at 4.0 and then did 30 minutes at 4.1, walked for 2 minutes and then did an uphill (4%) walk for another 13 minutes and cooled down for a few minutes.

I'm feeling pretty good at this point.  Not trying to over complicate things and over think them.  I am at times failing on the 2nd of those!  Just need to put the work in.

Also the Dr came through and I'm on a very low dose of Cytomel which is another thyroid medication.  I'm hopeful that this helps my TSH numbers but also my testosterone as that was WAY low!  If test doesn't come up I may end up synthetic test!
